[ox-en] another interesting essay: Benkler: Coase's Penguin

Hi All,

I think some of will be interested in the following
essay, by Yochai Benkler, called:

Coase's Penguin, or, Linux and the Nature of the Firm
http://www.law.duke.edu/pd/papers/Coase's_Penguin.pdf

which was presented at the frist conference organised
by the Centre for the Public Domain.

Eben Moglen spoke as well, as many of you know, Eben
is the legal operator behind the FSF and a close
collaborator of Stallman's. The other papers and the
webcast archive can be found here:
http://www.law.duke.edu/pd/

Benkler's essay is interesting because it treats P2P
as a wide social phenomena stimulated and facilitated
by networks, rather than just file-sharing software.

So, check it out.

Lastly, i'm delighted that there is activity on this
list and am looking forward to discussion and
hopefully collaboration.

tschuss,
mm.
