Paul,

Point to a major thread on a public Debian mailing list where this
has been brought up. I haven't seen one.

Debian Weekly News is basically a summary of important threads on the
Debian mailing lists. Threads on -private are *not* summarized in
Debian Weekly News.

The only people you've said you emailed, Richard Stallman and Bruce
Perens, have never been or are no longer associated with Debian in any
meaningful way. They certainly have no role in influence or writing
content for DWN.

You are welcome to write up a story and submit it to DWN. Don't be
surprised if it's rejected though. Reporting the the activities of
Debian developers outside of their work on Debian is hardly the
purpose of Debian Weekly News and it's never been done before AFAIK.

At this point of course, you probably killfiled by many of the Debian
folks you'd need to contact. Approaching a group of volunteers by
swearing and ranting and telling people how to run their organization
is not a good way to good to way influence them -- even if your
intentions are good and most people agree with your general
principles.

Working with a large heterogeneous FOSS project like Debian is like
herding cats -- it requires a *lot* of patience and a level head.

Mako
